New Member Classes
The Pastor's Class is a six week membership class, which is required for those who are interested in becoming members of Cypress Wood Presbyterian Church. Our Pastor's Class is taught by Pastor Jonathan Loerop. The class is offered twice a year (February and September). The class is designed to help you get to know Pastor Jonathan and to prepare you to be a fruitful member of the body of Christ by discussing the basics of Christianity, church membership, and spiritual growth. It also introduces you to the unique history, beliefs, ministries, practices, and vision of Cypress Wood.
After completing the class, those desiring to pursue membership will meet with Pastor Jonathan and then the elders of Cypress Wood for a private interview. New members will then be welcomed as members during a Sunday morning worship service.

Membership Vows
1. Do you acknowledge yourselves to be sinners in the sight of God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without hope [except] in His sovereign mercy?
2. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and Savior of sinners, and do you receive and rest upon Him alone for salvation as He is offered in the Gospel?
3. Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Christ?
4. Do you promise to support the Church in its worship and work to the best of your ability?
5. Do you submit yourselves to the government and discipline of the Church, and promise to [strive for] its purity and peace?
